7 things about me

Ok, so thank you Juana for tagging me! now I have to write 7 things about me... I'll give it a try! ;) But I cant wait to see what others respond when I tag them!

1. I love God and my husband and can't wait to start a family and all together serve God in Spain! God has been dealing with us about witnessing and living by faith the most lately and we want to put it into practice!!! We want to live a life for God, and I want to be the best wife and mommy I can! because I have the best husband in the world!

2. I love photography and enjoy taking pictures so much! too much! I love seeing people's responses when they see our pictures, and when I see a family cry when they watch their slideshow makes me wanna cry too! And makes me feel that I've done my job as a photographer in that session, which is to capture their feelings into pictures! it really makes me happy and makes my heart sing :) And cant wait to keep doing more photo sessions like this!

3. I hate seeing people suffer. I hate scary movies and things like that because of that reason. I can't stand it... Even when people suffer or they're hurt for a very little reason, it stills hurts me so much... I gotta work on that!

4. I love traveling! and getting to know new places! I love architecture and seeing all this old architecture of Europe! love it love it love it! and cities are my favorite! Madrid, New York, San Francisco, and I cant wait to visit London and Paris! and many other places!

5. I love chocolate! brownies with hot fudge and ice cream are my favorite! T.G.I. Friday's have the best brownies! I'm starting to eat too much chocolate, and Im not gaining any weight! I try to make myself feel better by eating a banana or yogurt after I eat so bad, lol I know, I used to be Mrs. Healthiness!!! I'm getting too used to eating bad... we'll see in a couple of months if it stays like this, hehe

6. Clothes are my passion too! Sometimes I find myself thinking about what new outfits I would like to have and how I could combine things in a better way, etc. I don't mean to, it just comes to my head for no reason! I cant help it!

7. I'm a big dreamer! I spend most of my quite time thinking... when I was going to school, and I wasn't talking to other students (which I did quite often) the teachers would tell me all the time: Arancha, come back, you're always on the clouds! (a Spanish idiom that probably means that I'm daydreaming, hehe) So my brain works way too much! I think about so many things during each day! And even when Im sleeping my brain is working, because I ALWAYS dream!

So here are my 7 things about me! Sorry if there was something you didnt wanna know about, lol

God's blessings!

During these last weeks, Nate and I have been praying a lot that we will be more involved in God's work and delight more in Him. We delight in Him, but we want to delight more, and do more for Him! Lately, God has given us the desire to study more His Word, and to tell everybody about Christ. He has given us a greater burden for souls. I had the privilege to hear the gospel and accept Jesus as my Savior. But there are so many people and so many places where the gospel is not known! And I think, who is going to tell them? Nate and I have always had a burden for missions, and we can't wait to start our mission work in Spain! But while we are here, there are so many souls that need to hear about Christ!

God has been proving Himself to us, and has been blessing us greatly. He has shown us to live by faith and just wait to see Him work in our lives, instead of finding answers or making decisions our own way. We have tried the hardest to apply this in our lives, and we have really seen God's blessings and rewards! We have learned that we have to place our burdens in His hands, and He will take care of them. Instead of worrying about things and finding our ways to fix them, we have to trust that God is at work and He already knows what we need and what needs to be done! He has His plans, that so many times differ from our plans, but His plans are so much better! We just have to wait and see, and of course pray and trust Him! He is the only One that can do everything perfect! He is not going to leave us nor forsake us, and He is faithful, but we must be faithful too!

So these have been amazing weeks! really! I have seen God work in so many ways! And we are so thankful for that! We want to keep growing and learning, and we want to live a good Christian life!

I though I would share a little about our personal life :) Because we want to live our lives for God, and God is the most important thing to us! God is the one that has blessed us with this business and He deserves all the glory for it! :)

Another visit from Spain!!!! wohooo!

These last 10 days we have been able to spend some time with my brother, sister-in-law, and niece!!! They came from Spain to see us, and we had a great time!!! I laughed so much, so hard!!! It was amazing!!! We hadn't met our niece since she was born! She was born in december and due to my paperwork (renewing my visa), we weren't able to go meet her....my sister also had a baby 2 weeks after, and we haven't met him yet! But we can't wait!!!! So on this trip, we had the chance to meet our little niece! she just smiles, laughs, makes little noises all the time! she's just so cute and so adorable!!!! Nate got really attached to her, and she looked so happy and had so much fun when Nate was holding her! (man, I can't wait to have a baby to see Nate like that with our children! it was just too cute!)

We ate a lot, went shopping a lot, visited a bunch of places, etc. We celebrated Nate's birthday at a huge house that a family of our church let us use. It was a blessing! We went to Alabama for a weekend and got to see the Space Rocket Center (which I loved, I love those kinds of things!) Sunday was Nate's actual birthday, so we went to celebrate it to a restaurant. I was so excited about them singing happy birthday to him and giving him a brownie!! I asked the waiter if they could do it, and he said that they stopped doing that a long time ago! what? who does that? that's the whole point of going to a restaurant for somebody's birthday! I was so disappointed! but oh well! it was Nate's birthday, so I still enjoyed it! I love him so much! And he looks so cute in that H & M outfit I got him, hehe

We did a family photo shoot, and a studio photo shoot for the baby.

We visited Gatlinburg, and they liked it a lot! it's so unique! It was freezing though, but a lot of fun! And the last day we went to Atlanta (airport) and stopped at the World of Coca Cola! It was a lot of fun, though kind of fast because we were late for the airport, lol but we loved it, and of course, the last room being able to try Coca-cola products from all around the world was amazing! I would go again just for that room! it's so cool!

They left yesterday, right after the visit to the World of Coca-cola.... it was so sad this morning, when Nate and I had to wake up without my little niece's noises and giggles.... Her cute little noises is what woke us up every day during these last 10 days! I can't wait to see them again! Here are some pics from yesterday! We didn't really take a lot, because we filmed most of the time. Nate wasn't able to come because of work.

Fun with out Spanish friends!

This last 5 days, we got to spend some time with our friends from Spain! They went to New York for vacation and came to TN to visit us! We were so excited! We spent friday night in GA, and I got to see my friend Deborah! and we spent saturday in Atlanta. Our friend Deborah took us to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast and then we left for the World of Coca Cola! it was so fun! My favorite part was when at the end we were able to try a lot of Coca-cola products from many continents! I love all international things!

We finally went to Zara, which is my favorite store ever!!! It took us a while to find the mall where it was, but it was worth it :) I found so many stores that I did not know I could find in the US! Like Tous!!! I loved that mall, now I won't wanna shop anywhere else, lol and we went to H & M also! I love shopping and I missed going to those stores! And my wonderful husband got me an outfit and a dress! wohooo! 

On Sunday we went to church, and at night we went to Gatlinburg. I love Gatlinburg at night! so cute! So we walked around and drove around and took a lot of pictures!

On Monday we went to Pigeon Forge for more shopping for them and got some Bruster's ice-cream. And on Tuesday we took it easy! We had the chance to do a photo shoot for them though! They were so easy to take pictures of! So sweet to each other! Then we went home and made cookies for the trip. And btw, they have been cooking a lot all these days for us! We loved it! They're so good at cooking!

And today, we took them back to the airport! I'm going to miss them! We spent some time in the airport having some coffee (peppermint mocha, mmmm), and talked, and when they left we went to H & M to buy Nate's birthday present really quick.... he doesn't know what it is, but I can't wait to give it to him!

The bad part of all this.... I got sick on monday night, and Nate got sick on tuesday. I feel so much better now, but Nate feels really sick... my poor nene! so he is in bed, and I'm trying to take care of him! I hate seeing him like that :( So pray for him if you can!

Nate just makes my days!

I'm just not good at this thing of writing about my personal life... and we've been so busy with work and school, that we haven't been able to do much! I have to prepare 5 bulletin boards, read 5 books, take quizzes, etc etc and all this must be done before October, 20th. Crazy huh? Nate is even busier!

Yesterday I wasn't feeling well, and my wonderful husband knows what I need when I feel like that. So when he was leaving for work (yesterday he had to work in the evening), he was acting like all in a hurry and I was like: man! what's wrong? I guess he really doesn't wanna be late for work ;) 5 minutes after he left, he came back with peanut butter ice-cream and nutrageous for me! wohooooo!!!! It just made my day! that's why he was leaving so fast! he was gonna be late for work but he wanted to make sure I was ok and happy, and that I would spend a good evening while he was at work! he knows that ice-cream and chocolate always make me feel better (I know, I'm like a little girl sometimes, hehe) I love my husband so much! He's just so sweet and takes care of me so much! :D I can't thank God enough for him!

After he left, Hannah came over and she brought a lot of stuff to make waffles. Later in the evening, two other friends from college came too, and Hannah made us waffles! Man, I hadn't had waffles for so long! I forgot how much I like them!!! Thank you so much Hannah! It was good! We had a good time, and Nate came back earlier, which is good, cause I missed him so much!

Saturdays is the day of the week when we spoil ourselves, so we got some grilled stuffed burritos from taco bell (I know there are better ways to spoil, but we do love taco bell).

Tomorrow we are going to start the students ministry at Crown, so we are very excited about it! We'll let you know how it goes! :D

Back in Knoxville!

Yesterday, we got home after spending the weekend in Murfreesboro, TN. We had a lot of fun there! We went shopping, got pedicures, etc... I really enjoyed it :D Plus, I got to spend all those days with my wonderful husband! he's been working a lot lately!

We also did a photo session with my sister-in-law and her husband! We had to do it in two days because the light was really bad on saturday! It was cloudy and dark, so I wasn't getting the kind of light and pictures I wanted. I'll be editing these pictures, and preparing other cd's for other sessions, so it's going to be a busy week. And we start college!!!! it's going to be veeeery busy, but it's a short semester that only lasts 3 months, so it will go by fast!

By the way, in case you were wondering, I didn't really shop! I found really cute dresses and shirts, but I'll just wait to spend my  money on clothes when I see a Zara, lol

A little update!!!

I'll make a longer post tomorrow, but at least I wanted to tell you about something we've done this weekend. We shot an "in love" session in two day (because the first day was super cloudy and it got dark super fast), and I've been editing some of the pictures. Today my two sisters-in-law and I went to get a pedicure, and it felt great!!! It was a gift from my mother-in-law!!! She's a wonderful person, and she always makes sure we are doing good! The pedicure was so good!!! I totally loved it!!!!

Just a normal day

Like I said, we don't have much to talk about...Don't take me wrong, Nate and I have so much fun every minute we are together! but if I had to say every little silly thing we do, it would take forever!!! We tend to be crazy weird when we are together, and sometimes we find ourselves doing the same things, lol This week we've just been working, still trying to figure out the design of our business cards, reading, etc... I've been doing a lot of photography research too, I can't help it! I just love it! but now there are even more things I want to buy for the business, hehe Don't worry, I can control myself!

Today I'll probably spend all morning cleaning, and running errands. And thursday is my first day of class. I have to student teach in october or november... not sure about the exact month, and I'm kind of excited about it! I have to do 3 bulletin boards, so my mind is already running, thinking about some ideas and how to apply my photography passion into a high school bulletin board ;) I think it will work! since I'm doing an education major in business!

We're going to have an interesting weekend, so we'll let you know on Monday :D

Our new blog

Upon my aunt and cousin's request, we have decided to start another blog. Since the other one we have is for our photography business, we'll be using this one for our personal life. Right now we don't have much to say! I spend hours a day working for the business (designing, editing, etc.) and Nate works too! But I'm sure we'll be able to say more later on! We're starting school next week, but I'll be taking only 1 class and an independent study class. I'll be doing my student teaching also. Nate is taking more classes than me, but I'm graduating in December!!! wohoooo!!!!! So we're very excited about that!

Like I said, I don't have much to say, so we'll keep adding things little by little!
